Overview
WhatsLink Click Tracker PRO turns your WordPress site into a real WhatsApp analytics dashboard.
If you use WhatsApp (or WhatsApp Business) to generate leads, close sales, or provide support, PRO helps you understand exactly what’s driving those conversations.
Instead of guessing which page or campaign generated a chat, you get structured data directly inside your WordPress admin.
New: Ad Conversions. If you run Google Ads or Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, your ad accounts can’t see the conversations they bring: the visitor clicks and leaves for WhatsApp. PRO sends every WhatsApp, Telegram, and phone click to Google Ads as a conversion, to the Meta Pixel as the standard Contact event, and to Google Analytics 4 as an event. You see the cost per conversation of each campaign, and your ads can optimize for it. PRO uses the Google and Meta tags your site already loads and adds none of its own, so your cookie banner keeps applying.
With PRO you can:
✅ Count clicks as conversions in Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Analytics 4 (Ad Conversions)
✅ Break down clicks by UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) to measure which ads and campaigns generate the most clicks
✅ See the referrer of every click in the log and in the CSV export
✅ Use Report filters (date range, UTM source, medium, and campaign)
✅ View KPIs and performance overviews inside the Reports dashboard
✅ Analyze click trends over time with visual charts
✅ See Channel Breakdown — clicks split by WhatsApp, Telegram, and Phone
✅ Discover your Top Pages, Top Clicked URLs, and Top UTM Sources
✅ Export everything to CSV for client reporting or deeper analysis
✅ Receive real-time email notifications and daily/weekly summary reports
All of this runs directly inside WordPress — no external dashboards, no custom code.
Frequently asked questions
Which link types does it track?
All three messaging channels: WhatsApp (wa.me, api.whatsapp.com, WhatsApp Web, and whatsapp:// app links, including chat widgets such as Click to Chat, Joinchat, and WP Social Chat), Telegram (t.me), and phone (tel:). Tracking is done by the free plugin (1.5.8 or later). No configuration needed.
Is it compatible with WooCommerce?
Yes. WhatsApp and Telegram clicks on product pages are tracked and labeled by product title.
Is it GDPR compliant?
The Free version does not store IP addresses or geolocation data.
Can I export logs?
CSV export and email reports are available in the Pro version.
Will it slow down my site?
No. Logging is asynchronous and optimized for performance.

Changelog
1.5.0
- New: Ad Conversions (WhatsLink Click Tracker → Ad Conversions). Every WhatsApp, Telegram, and phone click can be sent to Google Ads as a conversion, to the Meta Pixel as the standard Contact event, and to Google Analytics 4 as
whatsapp_click,telegram_click, orphone_click(or to the Google Tag Manager data layer). - PRO uses only the Google and Meta tags your site already loads and adds no script to your public pages while every destination is off.
- Requires WhatsLink Click Tracker 1.6.0 or later; the Ad Conversions page tells you if the free plugin needs an update.
1.4.1
- Fix: Turning off "Email on each click" now really stops the emails. Before, once the setting had been saved, an email was sent for every click even with the box unchecked.
- Fix: Daily and weekly summaries now cover the last day or week in your site's time zone. Sites west of UTC could miss recent clicks.
- Fix: Channel Breakdown counts WhatsApp Web (
web.whatsapp.com) and app (whatsapp://) clicks as WhatsApp, and no longer counts links such asabout.me/…as Telegram. - Security: CSV exports and summary attachments neutralise cells that a spreadsheet would run as a formula.
- Security: Deactivating the license now requires a valid security token.
- Fix: If the license server can't be reached, your license status is no longer changed to "invalid".
- Fix: The License page always shows a button: "Activate" for any status other than valid (including expired), "Check License Now" when valid.
- Fix: Email failures are now reported in the dashboard.
- Fix: The CSV export page no longer defaults to today's clicks only; leave the dates empty to export everything.
- Performance: PRO no longer loads jQuery and empty files on every page of your site, and its charts load only on the Reports screen.
- Fix: Deactivating PRO stops the summary emails; deleting it removes its settings (your click data, which belongs to the free plugin, is kept).
- Reports: clearer KPI labels ("Unique links clicked" counts all channels, not only WhatsApp), a smaller Channel Breakdown chart, and page titles or URLs are always shown as plain text.
- Requires PHP 7.4 or later, like the free plugin.
1.4.0
- New: Automatic updates. With an active license, new versions appear in Dashboard → Updates and install with one click, like plugins from WordPress.org.
- Updates keep arriving even if the free plugin is temporarily deactivated.
